We were instantly impressed by the cleanliness and open space living it provided. The open kitchen is modern and provides everything you need. There is a huge fridge/freezer and small laundry with both washing machine and dryer. The verandah/balcony is enclosed giving piece of mind to any parent with young children. In saying that, the large windows can actually be lifted and opened so you can catch the ocean breeze. Although we were on the 10th floor, the views are still amazing overlooking the pools, surrounding high rises and the ocean. Beds were super comfy and in spacious bedrooms. The hotel amenities are great however, the gym could do with an update of equipment. There is a fantastic casual bar and burger eatery looking over the pool that is attached to the rear of the premises which can be accessed through the pool area. They have a great menu and the food is yummy as well as reasonably priced for a tourist destination. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Upon checkout we were assisted by ‘Cathy’ who was professional, courteous and extremely accommodating which topped off a brilliant stay and experience. This was our first stay at the Q1 and would definitely recommend this hotel for singles, couples or families. I should have taken photos as we arrived but snapped some just before we left so apologies for the unmade beds.
